PB inspired no sew bed skirt!

I LOVE Pottery Barn...who doesn't though?! We all know they can be a bit expensive, so I always like to flip through their magazine and get ideas for my next DIY project!
This is one that I have been wanting to do for awhile, and I really don't know why I waited so long to get it done. It was so easy. It is just like making a no sew tutu for a little girl, just 5x's larger!
This is the Pottery Barn one:
It is stinkin' cute! It is also $169 for a Queen, which is what Hali's bed size is, and $149 for the size of a twin, which is the extra bed  in the room with the same bedding! I obviously would NEVER pay that much for a bed skirt mad of Tulle (I wish)!
This is my version for now, I wanted to do it all white and add appliques like they did with theirs, but I ran out of all white tulle, and I haven't had the time to do appliques yet! There will be an update of my version when my mom comes and helps me sew it together, because I don't know how to sew tulle and make it ruffle. My mom tried to tell me over the phone, but I couldn't figure it out. Sooo, until then, I made a no sew version, and here it is:
Is all this needed was 20 yards of tulle= $22 (10 yards for each side of a Queen bed)
4 yards of any kind of ribbon=$0 (I just used scrap that I had, no one can see it so it doesn't have to match)
1/2 yard of sticky back velcro=$2 (This is optional, I used the velcro to stick it onto the bed, rather than sewing a sheet to it to make it stay).
I hot glued the velcro to the bed skirt, and then peeled off the sticky back of the other side and stuck it on the actual bed!

In all I spent $24 for the Queen bed! A LOT better than $169 (plus tax & shipping would be $175)
When my Ma gets here and shows me how to sew one, I will be doing it in all white tulle and adding the ribbon and maybe the appliques. It will probably look more similar to the PB look, and it should still cost under $30! I am excited! The only negative to this type of bed skirt, is that my 2 year old is dying to take it off so she can wear it!
Have a Happy Thursday!

How fun - I've used tulle for a bedskirt before but not it this fun girly way. Nice job.
