I think of turquoise as a neutral, because it looks good with almost any color..don't you think?!
It's like a Pop Neutral, it matches everything, but still adds that pop in the room that you need!

You are so right turquoise does look good with just about everything! It adds so much pizazz to a plain piece of furniture and gives it stand out appeal! Your desk looks fabulous, great makeover!
